Outlander Weekly Roundup: Looking back, looking ahead
With that being said, we have been able to report on a couple of different castings, whether it be Andrew MacNeill or Judith Wylie. While we don’t anticipate either of them being major characters along the lines of an Aunt Jocasta, the value in hearing about these reports is that it solidifies that there are certain familiar faces from the books who are going to remain a part of the series.
We like to sometimes slip a news item or two into these Outlander Weekly Roundup pieces but this time there really isn’t one — we don’t really want to discuss some of the latest reports about fans at iconic show locations, mostly because they usually end up with us venting our frustration at British outlets for generalizing all Outlander fans as a bunch of ruffians. It’s just like any other cross-section of the world; there’s always going to be a tiny minority who are a little more troublesome than the rest.
(Wait, this past paragraph probably qualifies as us talking about it. Oh well.)
Let’s get into some other stories from the past week now.
Outlander perspectives – We’ve been doing these articles / polls most of the week to chronicle some of the best/most interesting things about season 3. They’re fun to write, but beyond that they’re helpful for gauging what subjects you want to see as a focus in future articles! There’s one more coming tomorrow, but for now you can view the others over in the archive page.
If you didn’t get a chance to see our introductory video to the series earlier this week, take a look at that below, as well. (We are going to be doing more videos related to Outlander, so be sure to stay on the lookout or visit our YouTube page to subscribe.)

The Outlander soundtrack is out for season 3 – If you love the score of Bear McCreary, we certainly think that this is worth checking out. More information can be found within this story.
Latest Outlander character questions piece – This week, we went big in writing about what the future could be for Sam Heughan’s Jamie Fraser.
All in all, a quieter week outside of the Outlander perspectives — but we’ll continue to bring you coverage throughout the Droughtlander! Remember that you can also like CarterMatt on Facebook for more show scoop. (Photo: Starz.)
