Love Island USA season 8 episode 33: Who made the finale?

We had a feeling entering Love Island USA season 8 episode 33 that we were going to get some results to the public vote that were a tad surprising. With that, what exactly should we say?

First and foremost, let’s get into the couples who were chosen as safe for the end of the season on Sunday. To the surprise of no one, we have Trinity & Bryce, which makes sense given that this is one of the purest love stories the show has had in a rather long time. Meanwhile, you also have Aniya & Carl, which has felt predictable even though Carl first turned up in the Casa Amor twist.

This is where things got a tad more interesting to us. First, we did see Melanie & Sincere make it to the finale, which was shocking given the fact that their relationship has been more than a little bit tumultuous — really to the point where her own family warned her about the relationship’s impact on her mental health. Finally, we have Zach & Kayda, who were previously at the bottom of the vote.

By virtue of this vote, we are left in a situation now where the eliminated pairs are the Kenzie & Dylan and KC & Tierra. We’re actually somewhat shocked KC is gone? He seemed to have his fans online and beyond just that, he found someone in Tierra who is now officially his girlfriend. While he made his fair share of mistakes, in a way he actually fulfilled his purpose for being on the show in the first place. Relationships outside the villa are undoubtedly hard to predict, so we will just have to see what happens to all of them in the weeks and months ahead.
