Poldark season 5 PBS premiere date revealed; what to expect
In a new post on Twitter, Masterpiece confirmed that you will have a chance to see the final season of the show come Sunday, September 29 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a considerable stretch after the show premieres in the UK (where it starts this Sunday), but we don’t think this comes as a surprise to any viewers out there. Poldark traditionally premieres months later in the US than it does on BBC One, and we’re just happy to continue to have the release rollout on PBS this fall. There are eight episodes coming and, after that, we prepare for the show to walk towards the sunset.

As for what is coming over the final season, be ready for an emotional, political struggle as we see some of these characters work in order to define their legacy. Ross and Demelza are going to be in a good place romantically, but there are still some clear struggles that remain. Namely, the two will be trying to contend with Cornwall struggling as a region as the poor try to find a proper means for survival. Demelza will be building more of a name for herself outside of the home while Ross continues to serve his post in the city. They will spend time apart, but hopefully that does make their time together all the more memorable.
Meanwhile, you will see George in the early going do his part in order to mourn the loss of Elizabeth. He’s lost one of the few people in the world that he loves and while it would be easy to assume that he would automatically be full of rage over this news, there is no guarantee that he will lash out at others. We just make some judgments on this character based on some of the despicable stuff we’ve seen him do in the past.
