Lucifer season 4 ‘reunion show’ released before premiere

Lucifer

If you want to check out something fun and Lucifer-related leading into the season 4 premiere on Wednesday, you don’t have to wait for it at all!

Today, Netflix has officially unveiled their “reunion show” for the series, which is really just a 24-minute special where the cast reminisces about some of their favorite moments from across the run so far. If you want to get some memories from the cast, some laughs, and some assorted craziness, you don’t have to wait any further! This is a glorious watch, and we don’t really want to spoil anything with it in advance of you watching it. It’s some lighthearted fun featuring some people who, at this point, you more than likely love.

(If you’re wondering what the cast was taping on that mystery trip to Netflix a little bit early this year, this was more than likely it.)

One of the best things about this reunion is that you don’t even have to be a Netflix subscriber, at least in America, in order to watch it — just head over to the link here and enjoy.

Our view on the season 4 campaign overall

It’s pretty fantastic. While Netflix hasn’t necessarily been pushing Lucifer for a long time now, we feel like they’ve done a rather stellar job with some of the recent stuff they’ve put out there. Think about the conversation-worthy key art above, the official trailer, some of the teases we’ve seen about the new version of the Devil or just the super-cheeky official Twitter account that has been having a lot of fun with users on social media. Everything feels current and well-designed to both appeal to new viewers and also longtime fans.

Of course, we don’t want to take this promotional campaign as anything more than just Netflix doing whatever it can to promote the series at the moment. There is no guarantee that, after all of this, they are going to magically renew the show for a season 5, but it’s at least a good start to help get enthusiasm out there. They’re pushing the show and from there, the ball is firmly in the court of viewers to check out the series and make sure that it gets the green light for more.

We almost hope that if Lucifer comes back, we get another reunion show like this just to constantly hear from the cast in their own voices. Maybe it won’t be as necessary since there wouldn’t be such an epic, save-our-show movement leading up to it, but it almost certainly would be a good time to behold.
