God Friended Me episode 13 sneak peek: How are Miles, Cara doing?

God Friended Me episode 13 will be coming your way on CBS this weekend and at the center of it seems to be one simple thing: The state of things for Cara and Miles. While they do have more people to help and God Account mysteries to solve, they’ve also gone through a good bit relationship-wise as of late. Miles most recently had a breakup, and he admits in the sneak peek below that he’s still working his way through it. Yet, at the same time, he does seem to have a reasonable perspective on it. He recognizes where he is in his life at the moment and also that sometimes, relationships just aren’t meant to work out.

The most important thing for Miles is simply that he’s not alone. It does feel like he does have some sort of future with Cara — we obviously would root for it to be a romantic one, but this is one of those things that could take a little bit of time in order to properly figure out. For now, what’s most important for the two of them is that they do continue to nurture and build a friendship given that this is the sort of thing that is going to make the two of them actually strong in the weeks and months to come. It’s also always possible that this could evolve into much more.

In addition to the sneak peek being somewhat of a relationship check-in, there’s another important purpose to it in that it sets up the God Account mystery for Sunday’s episode — Miles was sent over seventy different names, and it seems based on this that many of them could all reside in the same apartment building. After he and Cara realize that there is a vacancy at the building, that of course leads to another interesting question: Are they willing to go undercover in order to get answers? Given that they’re both single and they want to get some information on the people, the idea of them living together (or at least pretending to) is something that they may be willing to try.

For us, what we’re mostly excited about with this episode is the chance to see a different sort of God Account mystery, and one where it could be about helping the collective more than individual. This is going to be a fun story to watch and we’re certainly excited to see how every part of it unfolds.
