God Friended Me episode 13 preview: ‘Miracle on 123rd Street’

Are you ready to see God Friended Me episode 13 on CBS next week? Be prepared for an episode that will present a huge challenge for Miles. It’s one thing for Miles, Cara, and Rakesh to do what they can to help one person suggested by the God Account. It’s another thing altogether to try and help a whole horde of them. Nonetheless, that is the position that they’ll be over the course of this episode as they are forced to deal with dozens of people all at one times. What does this mean? Well, let’s just say that he will have his work cut out for him trying to figure out what to do … and also why this suggestion was sent to him in the first place.

“Miracle on 123^rd Street” – Miles is shocked when the God Account sends him 76 simultaneous friend suggestions. Also, Ali moves in with Miles while her apartment is being fumigated, and Rakesh receives surprising news at work, on GOD FRIENDED ME, Sunday, Jan. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Be prepared for this episode to be a pretty tremendous test for these characters, but also still an opportunity to reestablish a traditional rhythm for the series. This episode could have been the finale at one particular point in time, but that time is now very much far in the past as CBS ordered an additional seven episodes of the season. That means more time to build up on some of the show’s mythology and to answer some of the questions that are clearly out there for some of these characters.

If you love God Friended Me, our advice is pretty simple: Be sure to watch live, settle in, and buckle in for whatever is coming up next! This show has been around for long enough now that it’s got an understanding of what it is and what viewers respond to. That’s super-valuable in that it can start to really build on that and deliver a show that is more addictive than ever. We don’t think that the writers would have tried a story involving 76 different friend suggestions in the early going, back when the show was still in the process of finding itself. There’s a different feel now and that is something the show can play around with.
