House of the Dragon season 3 episode 2: Final expectations

This weekend on HBO, we are going to have an opportunity to dive into House of the Dragon season 3 episode 2 — and yes, it feels fair to say there is a lot to expect.
Where do we even start off with this show? Obviously, one thing worth noting here is that so much is going to hinge now on the reaction Rhaenyra has to the death of her son Jace. She has now lost multiple children and the previews show her overwhelmed in grief. She could be so shocked and emotionally devastated after this tragedy that she is unable to do anything else, including embark on the next phase of a plan to defeat the Greens. Or, she could swear vengeance and take even more violent risks than ever before.

One thing we certainly believe? There is a chance that her relationship with Alicent is forever strained, even if she visited Rhaenyra with the best of intentions. We do imagine that there will be a certain amount of clarity on that subject soon.
The other big question
If you are Rhaena at this point, where in the world do you go? You wanted to have a dragon for so long and when you got one in Sheepstealer, it severely harmed your own family. There is a reckoning that she may have to face now within herself that encompasses a decent chunk of the next installment.
In general, we do not expect episode 2 to be anywhere near as violent as what we caught the first go-around with the show this season. Is there still potential for a lot of great content though? Let’s just say that the quick answer to that is a pretty obvious yes without even a hesitation.
