Doctor Who season 11 spoilers: Expect caution around The Doctor

What’s coming up on Doctor Who season 11? We know that we’re going to get a lot of adventure and excitement coming in the weeks ahead, but beyond that, we also know that there is going to be a sense of caution. As much fun as the show may be, you may also want to picture yourselves in some of these characters’ shoes. Wouldn’t you act a little bit inquisitive if it turned out that an alien with multiple hearts and an ability to travel through time and space showed up in front of you? We like to think so, and we’re glad to see that the writers are going to be exploring this more moving forward.

Speaking via Digital Spy in a new interview, actor Mandip Gill (who is playing one of the show’s new characters) had the following to say on the subject:

“We all see the Doctor in a different light. I think that’s what’s very interesting. We don’t all believe what she says is gospel. My character does, but not everyone. You have people questioning her.”

Well, the good news there is that The Doctor is clearly got one ally; yet, over time there will opportunities for her to find at least a couple more. By the end of this season, we’re a little more confident that some of the other Companions are going to be on her side a little bit more and will buy into much of what she claims.

Unfortunately, though, you are probably not going to get a whole lot more insight about some of these characters moving forward into the start of the season. After all, a big part of what makes this series so exciting is the sense of discovery and learning more about the people and these characters over time.

Alas, there is no premiere date yet for the upcoming season, but we know that there will be no new episodes this fall.
