Shadowhunters table read takes place for remaining season 3 episodes
Just in case you needed a reminder as to how busy Katherine McNamara is at the moment, she did this table read on Thursday, then flew out to Milan in order to be present for fans at the Italian Institute Con this weekend. That is dedication! It’s a also a reminder of how much she loves her fans given that this is a pretty emotional time. The cast is preparing at the moment to film what could be the final episodes of the series — nobody wants them to be, but on some level we imagine that there’s an extra layer of sadness that goes into production this time around.
If there is one thing that is probably serving as the wind under the sails for many cast members, it’s this: No matter what is going on with production of these remaining two episodes, the #SaveShadowhunters movement continues. The second Seoul subway ad surfaced on yesterday (at least California time), and the fandom has even more plans in order to further promote the show from here. Our suggestion at this point is mostly to keep fighting and leveraging social media in order to create interesting new ideas. Consistency and resiliency is going to be the key from here on out. We’ve got a feeling that most major networks and streaming services at this point are aware that Shadowhunters has a devoted contingent of fans trying to make sure more episodes are ordered. From here, the next order of business is to just continually give reminders that the fandom isn’t going away anytime soon and there is still more of this story that everyone wants.
For those still wondering about the two episodes being filmed, these (alongside the second half of season 3) are going to air at some point in 2019. If that changes in the future, we’ll be sure to let you know. If there is no word on the show’s future at the time in which season 3B premieres, the only other advice we can offer is try to get as many people as possible to watch live or immediately after the fact.
