The Good Doctor episode 15 spoilers: First details on ‘Heartfelt’
Let’s kick things off here by addressing the obvious question referenced in the previous paragraph: There is no new episode tonight. Unfortunately, the Olympics are going to be bumping the series off the air for the next two weeks so you’ll need to figure out some ways to bide your time until the show comes back. (How about watching old episodes of The Good Doctor? We hear that show is pretty good.)
When the series does return to ABC it’ll be doing so with an installment known as “Heartfelt.” If you are interested in getting some more information all about that, have no fear! We do think that the attached synopsis more than suffices:
Dr. Shaun Murphy’s teenage patient has been confined to her home her entire life due to a rare heart condition. Despite her condition, she has cultivated a large group of friends online and hopes that the surgical team can find a way to give her the life she has always dreamed of having. Meanwhile, a young patient’s perfectly matched organ donor is causing a moral dilemma for the parents and the patient.
What excites us already about this episode is that it seems to be offering up an opportunity for us to see more of Shaun’s sympathetic side as he works to make sure that this teenager’s dream come true. He’ll think in terms of allowing her to be out in the world a little bit as opposed to being confined forever.
As for the other major storyline in this episode, all signs point towards this organ storyline leading to what we’ve already seen in the latest The Good Doctor promo — one where there is an opportunity to see a prisoner serve as the organ donor. This is not someone who may be altogether willing to help out. (Watch the aforementioned promo now over here!)
There are four episodes to go in The Good Doctor season 1 — hopefully “Heartfelt” sets the foundation for whatever other great content is coming in the weeks that follow.
