‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ episode 12 video: The challenge before the injury

Survivor -At this point, CBS has made quite a meal out of the fact that someone seems to get injured during the immunity challenge of Wednesday night’s new episode of “Survivor,” and the sneak peek below gives you at least a little bit of a sense of what happened leading up to that moment. (Unfortunately, there’s nothing on the actual injury itself.)

With this being said, we’ve admittedly never been that big of a fan of this challenge, which involves trying to keep a statue / idol of sorts steady on the top of a pole. Our feeling is to try to prevent as many possible concussions as possible, and the odds of this thing falling on your head seem to be pretty high. It’s like that challenge during “Worlds Apart,” where you knew that someone was going to be hurt when Kelly Remington was blindfolded.

Heck, Jeff Probst even warns the castaways that they need to be aware of the idols falling off the platform the moment that they drop out of the challenge. (Chekov’s warning?) We thought at first that maybe the players are a little too close to each other, and that maybe someone’s idol could fall on someone else; however, after watch the video a few times over we don’t think that it is actually the case.

There’s really no point speculating anymore on who the injured party is given that we’re going to find out in the span of a few short hours. As we’ve said all week, the only thing that we’re really hoping for at the moment is that they are not so banged-up that they are removed from the game.
