‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ top 8 rankings: Where do we go from here?

Survivor -This may be one of the few times we’ve ever been at this point in a “Survivor” season and still had no idea what in the world is going to happen. There are eight contestants remaining, and there are scenarios at this point where almost any of them could leave.

So who is in the most danger? We’ve tried to come up with a formula this time around that weighs gameplay, challenge ability, how big a threat you are, and whether or not you have a legitimate shot to win at the very end. At this particular point in time, there’s no other way we know how to go about this.

8. Abi-Maria Gomes (last week: 9) – We can see Abi making it to the final three. The only reason that she’s last is that we have a hard time seeing her win the game with the people who are left. One thing that we’re considering here is that other than Savage and Wiglesworth, we’re not getting the sense that anyone has left the game with any bitterness. (The only reason we’re attributing that to these two is because of how they acted towards Ciera at first at Ponderosa.)

7. Keith Nale (7) – Keith seems destined to be in the final five, but we don’t think he’s got a shot at winning. Heck, someone may even be afraid of taking him to the end just because he’s likable and could get a vote or two off of that, even if that is the only vote he snags.

6. Kimmi Kappenberg (5) – She’s completely disappeared from the game post-merge, so that hurts her chances of winning severely. Also, she’s entering this week on the wrong side of the numbers, presuming that Spencer sticks with the other group.

5. Joe Anglim (10) – We’re boosting Joe up big time since people apparently seem to be fine with the idea of going far with him into the game. That’s dangerous. While we think that he is somewhat-beatable in the final three, you have to remember that he is likable, and there are people like Savage and Wiglesworth who would vote for him regardless of who he’s up against. We know Stephen’s dangerous, but we would’ve kept him around over Joe.

4. Tasha Fox (3) – While we don’t quite know where things are going to go week-to-week, we are thinking right now that there are only five candidates to win left. Tasha probably has less of a shot of winning than Joe, but her odds of making it there are much higher. She, like Kimmi, feels a little on the outside, but we’ve seen with her a fight and an ability to bounce back.

3. Jeremy Collins (2) – It’s dangerous to rank Jeremy this high, given that he will probably be one of the most obvious targets left in the game. The only reason that we’re doing it is because he’s still got an immunity idol, and Joe and Spencer are around as obvious threats. He needs to get rid of Joe before top five (and maybe Spencer before top four), since we think he’d need to win his way to the end. If he does that, go ahead and write him a check.

2. Kelley Wentworth (8) – This has been a great stretch for Wentworth. She’s got another secret idol, she didn’t need to use it on Joe, and she’s also got the numbers for now. It’s sad for Ciera, but her leaving the game may have been the best thing that could have happened for her game.

1. Spencer Bledsoe (1) – We’re still putting him at the top just because he seems to be doing everything right. Maybe there’s some danger that he gets targeted after backstabbing Stephen, but he’s still not the most obvious threat left, he’s capable of winning challenges, and everyone seems to like him on a personal level. We think that maybe other than Jeremy, he beats every person left in a final three.
