‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 9 preview: The Rumpelstiltskin – Snow Queen battle

Has the Snow Queen officially taken over Storybrooke on “Once Upon a Time“? We’ll say that going into the new episode Sunday night entitled “Fall,” things are not exactly looking great for most of the other characters. After all, Ingrid has developed quite the powerful spell, and it has a powerful ability to go along with it: To create chaos in the town, and basically find a way to turn the majority of the residents all against each other.

So what does Rumpelstiltskin do when facing enormous odds, especially when those odds could signal his death? Well, he basically tries to find almost everything in his power to talk his way out of the situation. In the sneak peek video below, Robert Carlyle’s character offers her some sort of deal, but she does not want to even hear him out since there is nothing he has that she wants. As a matter of fact, she has basically everything she hoped for right now.

The truth here for Ingrid is that things are about to be so much more complicated than she thinks. This is not a show where the bad guys come out on top often, so we’re not confident in her chances … especially when there is another major story arc with different villains coming.

Still, we do very much want to know what Rumple’s ultimate endgame here is with all of this, since we really do not see much of a reason for him being so deliberately evil now after marrying Belle and trying to turn things around.
