ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Big Stana Katic episode ‘Dressed to Kill’ delayed one week
ABC has just made what is a pretty curious move when it comes to scheduling their “Castle” season 6 episode that was originally scheduled for Monday night; rather than airing “Dressed to Kill” as advertised, they are now making the move to push it back for a week. It will now air on Monday, February 3, right in the middle of sweeps.
So why the delay? The biggest explanation for it at this late hour is that it allows ABC to promote what they feel is going to be a big episode. We know that fans of Stana Katic’s Beckett do have quite a bit to celebrate here, at least in that she will have a story that dives into her past as a model in high school; not only that, but a possible wedding dress for her is going to be prominently featured. Who wouldn’t want to see more of that?
The only real silver lining that comes with this announcement is that it means that there is going to be another week a little later on in this season that will not be a repeat, at least if the plan holds and “Castle” does not air a new episode on Monday. We assume that they would not, mostly because they would be better off ensuring that they do not exactly have a ton of time here to promote anything. Plus, “The Bachelor” is not so pristine a lead-in that you have to ensure that you have another episode ready to go; the difference between it and “Dancing with the Stars” is negligible at best.
What do you think: Are you excited to see “Dressed to Kill” air, regardless of when it comes on? Share your thoughts below, and visit this link if you want to see some more scoop of what to expect. While I love Castle and will probably end up watching all this season’s episodes, this seems to be another good example of how the networks have been really screwing with the audience this season. Moving show slots mid-season, waiting long periods of time between episodes, prolonging plot lines beyond their expiration dates, etc etc.. In this age of technology and expanded choice, they need to be more careful and you would think that they would recognize that!!!

It does not bother me at all because I can delay watching the episode even the coming eps and watch them later on. There are other interesting shows other than Castle. I might just lose interest because there are heaps of good shows that I also follow and focus on. You needed the number don’t you? So good luck keeping your viewers engrossed.

There is something strange going on her…Why Mr.Marlowe and co is doing this is beyond me. You do not do things like this without a prity good reason,so what is happening…..This I do not like.

As I understand it, this is ABC’s doing, not Marlowe’s.
