ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Big Stana Katic episode ‘Dressed to Kill’ delayed one week

Castle -ABC has just made what is a pretty curious move when it comes to scheduling their “Castle” season 6 episode that was originally scheduled for Monday night; rather than airing “Dressed to Kill” as advertised, they are now making the move to push it back for a week. It will now air on Monday, February 3, right in the middle of sweeps.

So why the delay? The biggest explanation for it at this late hour is that it allows ABC to promote what they feel is going to be a big episode. We know that fans of Stana Katic’s Beckett do have quite a bit to celebrate here, at least in that she will have a story that dives into her past as a model in high school; not only that, but a possible wedding dress for her is going to be prominently featured. Who wouldn’t want to see more of that?

The only real silver lining that comes with this announcement is that it means that there is going to be another week a little later on in this season that will not be a repeat, at least if the plan holds and “Castle” does not air a new episode on Monday. We assume that they would not, mostly because they would be better off ensuring that they do not exactly have a ton of time here to promote anything. Plus, “The Bachelor” is not so pristine a lead-in that you have to ensure that you have another episode ready to go; the difference between it and “Dancing with the Stars” is negligible at best.
