ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3, episode 6 preview: See Olivia Pope ponder her next move

Is Olivia Pope struggling on Thursday night’s “Scandal“? That is a nice word for it. A better way to put it could be that she is in some ways stunned into complete silence. You have to remember here that this is a woman who could not have seen something so shocking coming as the reveal that Fitz may have been in some way responsible for the death of her mother; now that you know that, it is the sort of thing that you cannot really digest or process.

So for at least the start of the clip below, she is really not going to process it at all. She will instead just sit there and be forced to think about what in the world she wants to do with herself while most of the Gladiators scramble to try and figure out what in the world is wrong with her. This is not going to be something that they would ever figure out without help.

Then, almost like there was a light bulb that went off above her head, Olivia comes to her senses and figures out just what she wants to do. She then takes off like a dart, and says to Huck and Jake that she is going to go visit the President to figure out what really happened. The only other person with that sort of information would be her father, and it wouldn’t end well for anyone if she was to confront him about any sort of high-level information.

We know that this gets lost in the drama of the promo, but is anyone else pretty thrilled to see Scott Foley finally in his Gladiator attire? It’s still chic, and he at least doesn’t have that “I was just living in a hole” beard going on.
