ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 6 preview: Stana Katic’s Beckett and ‘Da Vinci’ drama

The latest -With next week being themed around Halloween, what better way to celebrate than with a spooky, silly episode of “Castle”? In following up tonight’s great time-travel-themed installment “Time Will Tell,” we are now moving forward into one that is going to be about solving a conspiracy story a la “The Da Vinci Code”, and it’s pretty well-documented at this point that Castle loves his conspiracies.

We don’t know how the title “Get a Clue” was not used before now, but that is what the writers and producers are going for when it comes to next week’s new epsiode. It’s one that apparently starts with Stana Katic’s Beckett getting a trick rather than a treat from her onscreen fiance, and from there on out, the story morphs into being one all about trying to crack a very different sort of code. Speaking of codes, does anyone else want to try and figure out Alexis and Pi? That is also going to be addressed here.

First of all, take a look at the attached synopsis for a few more details:

“Castle and Beckett investigate the bizarre murder of a young woman who was found ritually posed. When the team finds a collection of strange symbols in her apartment and the prime suspect turns out to be a mysterious monk, Castle becomes convinced they’ve stumbled onto a ‘Da Vinci Code’ style conspiracy. Meanwhile, Castle tries to come to grips with the fact that Alexis and Pi have moved in together.”

Let’s start with the over/under on how long Alexis’ living situation really lasts. We do think that her endgame will include a love interest, but we don’t think that it will be Pi. We imagine someone a little geekier and a little less obnoxious. Beckett is right, though, at least in that Alexis could learn a lot and be a better person in the end if she goes out and sees the world in her own way without interruption from dad.

As for the Castle / Beckett relationship, we don’t see the two talking too much about the “prophecy” (as awesome as it was) that they are going to have three children and that Beckett is going to become a Senator … at least not yet. Kids are a conversation that may come up a few episodes later, based on what we know.
