‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 spoilers: Sendhil Ramamurthy on Gabe, Cat’s relationship

You’ve probably already seen the premiere of “Beauty and the Beast” season 2 if you are reading this, and it only makes sense that you would have one major question now: What is going to be happening next now that we know that Vincent is both on the run and extremely dangerous? Cat for one is going to have to rely on more than just herself, and that could include a man in Gabe who was not always reliable (to say the least) at various points last season.

During the premiere, Gabe was back on the scene and saying that he was not only planning to stay true with Cat, but that there was no longer any part of him that was a Beast at all anymore. For now, Sendhil Ramamurthy tells E! News that the goal for his character is to develop that trust again with Kristin Kreuk’s character, and then they will go from there to see what happens next:

“It stays pretty combative, certainly in these first few episodes, and then they kind of grow to an understanding. And Gabe kind of shows that he’s on board with going forward with this and trying to help with a cure for Vincent.”

The Gabe story is just one of many that is going to play out from here on out, as the central mystery is actually tied more at the moment to just what in the world happened to Vincent in the first place. It’s not like he just woke up and magically lost his memory; this has clearly been a trying time away for him, where he has become something and someone that does not recognize anyone in his old life.
