‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: More adversary news

More scoop -Following up the drama last season “NCIS: Los Angeles,” you had to assume that the writers / producers were not going to suddenly put the breaks on when it comes to creating some interesting situations for their characters. Well, we at least have some more details on that front right know, though they are admittedly rather vague.

In a post on Twitter, show executive producer John Peter Kousakis teased that there will be a visit from a “recurring nemesis” for Chris O’Donnell’s Callen at some point during the fourth episode of the season. Who could this be? There are two easy guesses that you can make: It’s a rival that we have all seen on the show before, or someone new that has not been cast just yet. Either way, hooray for showdowns!

The biggest plan for the opening half of “NCIS: LA” this season is to address the torture from last season, figure out if there is a way for some of the characters to move on past it, and then in true scripted TV fashion, create a brand-new situation for them to overcome. In a job like this, nothing really stops, and Callen, Deeks (who has an interesting arc ahead in terms of relationships), or anyone else who works in the division is clearly well aware of this already.

What’s your guess on this hint? As always, be sure to share your thoughts below! The new season of “NCIS: Los Angeles” premieres on Tuesday, September 24, and we will have some more scoop related to the show before we arrive at that point.
