ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: The flash-forward tradition stays alive

The road ahead -Even though “Revenge” season 2 faced some pretty heavy criticism at times for being confusing and somewhat all over the place, there is one element from the series that new showrunner Sunil Nayar seems to be very much interested in keeping alive: The famous flash-forward. This helped to kick off both of the first two seasons, with the teaser at the start of season 2 marking what would later become known as the death of the fake Amanda Clarke.

So what will the season 3 version of this twist contain? Of course, we’re not going to tell you everything now! September 29 is a long ways away, and ruining the entire surprise this far in advance would not be very fun at all. However, Gabriel Mann describes it to Entertainment Weekly as “the mother of all bodies.”

So does this mean that there will be another death? Maybe, but given how mysterious the world of the Hamptons has proven to be at times, we find it better at this point to really not assume much of anything. The last thing you want to do here is get burned by drawing a conclusion, telling all of your friends, and then them plotting some sort of course of revenge against you.

Let’s just hope instead that the next month and a half blows by pretty quickly, and then you will have quite a bit of good stuff to dish to your friends about.

Of course, there is also plenty of other story content to look forward to early this year: From the arrival of Victoria’s somewhat-creepy son Patrick to Aiden possibly shifting allegiances. This is going to be a crazy, more-streamlined year, and it will hopefully bring the show back somewhat to its roots.
