ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Madeleine Stowe on Victoria’s son

If you have been reading the scoop that is already out there on “Revenge” season 3, then you know that there is some major creepiness coming up courtesy of Victoria Grayson and her secret son Patrick. That’s right: Victoria has found a way to become even more bizarre than usual, and there’s another person to blame for it.

But what makes this relationship with Justin Hartley’s character so unusual compared to everything else in her life? It’s mostly that for the first time seemingly since the beginning of the show, we’re going to see her act as a kind, caring mother figure … at least at first. Just look at what Madeleine Stowe said to E! News for some evidence of that:

“She’s not trying to make him crazy, but she really wants to have a good, clean, honest relationship. But, of course, this is Revenge, so something terrible is going to happen.”

Meanwhile, Stowe also says that however much that Victoria cares about Patrick, he may strangely care about her even more, despite him not really having an opportunity to know her for most of his life:

“He deeply, deeply loves his mother and will do anything to take her side. I’ve been given hints and it’s quite dark.”

Hartley will surface for the first time on the show’s September 29 premiere, and will have had the past several months to spend within the world of the show to get to know Victoria better. There is already going to be a closeness that will be apparent here, almost like these two have been going on road trips together for much of their lives.
