Sometimes, the biggest non-shockers in the world of TV are that there will be shocking moments, especially when it comes to the world of “Pretty Little Liars.” Does this sound paradoxical in some sort of strange way? Well, it probably should since this is a show where you do at times have to watch a few episodes before your brain really starts to process what is going on.
Speaking in a new interview with The Huffington Post, it is none other than Shay Mitchell who drops on us the biggest non-bomb ever when it comes to what lies ahead on the series: That you will be shocked. Specifically, she’s talking about the big Red Coat reveal, which should happen within the months that follow:
“You will find out who red coat is, which is a huge thing, and I’m so excited for people to see this season because there are so many gasp moments where you won’t believe it. You think you know, but you have no idea. Dun, dun, dunnnnn.”
Just as it’s possible to visualize Mitchell actually saying the last part of this quote in your head, it’s also possible that this is the least-surprising news ever: That our jaws will hit the floor. Don’t they always? What will be the most interesting to us is what comes after the next shocking reveal. If Alison DiLaurentis is alive by some means, how do Emily and the girls deal with that, and will it lead to their entire lives falling apart? These women have been through so much already, and the reality is that there is potential for it to become so much worse in a very short amount of time.
