‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet, and character advice

The nice thing about the folks at “Glee” is that prior to the start of this season, they seemingly thought about the possibility that they would need some sort of content to keep people engaged over the course of the summer break. Thanks to that, we have a pretty awkward / hilarious video below featuring many of the cast members as they speak about some of the advice that they would give their characters if they were ever staring them in the face.

While there is some great advice thrown in here about Kurt / Blaine, Jake / Marley, and Artie needing to come up with a new hairstyle, the real laughs come via the use of British accent. Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, and Darren Criss all try it on for size, but we have to argue that the best one clearly comes from the latter, who sounds almost like he could be living upstairs within the walls of “Downton Abbey.”

Also in the running in the laughs department is Chord Overstreet trying to proclaim that Sam should have some sort of rap career, mostly because we already know rather well the rap abilities of some of the New Directions members. There are some serious answers thrown in here as well, but one of the real reasons why this show is so popular is because of the stars’ frequent ability to show off their sense of humor and have a little bit of fun with their fans.

“Glee” season 5 begins shooting in July, with the premiere date likely coming up in the middle of September in order to give the show a good start before baseball.
