Well, at the end of this past hour we saw TC take a major step forward in his recovery. After all, he’s been able to stand up! That was one building block towards his recovery and moving into the next episode, you are also going to see him walking with a cane. He’s getting better and better with each passing day, but there are also some major hurdles that he needs to overcome.
Unfortunately for TC, at least some of these wounds were pretty self-inflicted here. If you head over to TV Insider, you can see a sneak preview for “Night Has a Thousand Eyes” that features Stephen Hill’s character attempting to surprise Mahina at her job — and yea, it doesn’t go well. We saw him back at the VA rehab center ignore her phone calls, and we learn here that a long six weeks have passed since he’s been in communication with her. Were it not for her job, she may have never known he was even hurt! He claims that she wouldn’t want to see him at his worst, but she makes a pretty good counter-argument: This was not his choice to make. With that, it seems like a potential relationship here is completely in tatters.
Can he turn it around with some work? Maybe, but the #1 thing that he has to realize is that this entire situation is 100% his fault. While emotionally he was going through a lot, freezing out his girlfriend was not the right thing to do. At the very least, he could’ve called her and said that he needed some time and she has a right to be upset. It’s not just about this past incident, but also the future. What happens if something else super-serious happens? Is he going to freeze her out again?
We know that TC is a good person and capable of a lot of love; with that in mind, we’re still going to hold out hope that he is going to find a way to fix things.
