ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 finale spoilers: A tough situation for Stana Katic’s Beckett

Have you been desperate for more information about the “Castle” finale? If so, you are surely not alone. This episode, like so many others before it, will surely contain not only more drama than most of the other episodes this season, but also some sort of stakes to keep you guessing all summer long.

Previously, we had heard that the upcoming finale was going to deal with what was basically a bomb threat that was set to rock the lives of many of the characters; and now, series creator Andrew Marlowe is telling GiveMeMyRemote that the life of one particular character played by Stana Katic is going to hang in the balance:

“[It’s] an emotionally charged episode. In the process of doing an investigation into a bombing, Beckett triggers a bomb and is put in a position where she can’t move or the bomb is going to go off. It’s a high- stakes, high-tension episode.”

If you remember back to the last time Beckett was in a life-threatening situation, it did end up causing Castle to be more vulnerable with her than he had ever been to that point.

Will that happen again? When it comes to the relationship standpoint, we’re sure that there are going to be plenty of people out there interested in find out whether or not Castle and Beckett are going to find themselves engaged by the time the season is over. Unfortunately, we don’t really have any information to help out some of these fans at this time. However, Marlowe did tell Wetpaint that there will be questions asked during the finale that will bring the couple closer to a genuine future together beyond just two lovers and co-workers:

“Well, in broad strokes, I think any couple who’s been together going on a year starts asking questions about the relationship and what they’re looking for in the future. If you’re a guy, you tend to worry about making a long-term commitment, especially if he’s had two failed marriages. If you’re a woman, you start wondering, am I wasting my time on this relationship? Is there something else out there? Are we moving forward? Are we not moving forward? So I think that we look to explore some of those questions which are very human, very natural questions at the point in the relationship where these two characters are.”
