ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: First details on next new episode
If you love ABC’s “Scandal,” let’s hope that you are the patient type. Even though the Shonda Rhimes series aired a buzzy promo during the Academy Awards on Sunday night, the series is not actually going to return with new episodes until Thursday, March 21. The good news? Once this date arrives, the show will pretty much air episodes straight through until the end of the season.
The network has just released the official synopsis for this upcoming episode entitled “Top of the Hour,” and it features a certain conflict for Fitz that we first told you about a little earlier in the week. Meanwhile, many of the other characters are going to be rather busy with some developments of their own:
“Olivia finds herself in the middle of a media storm, but this time she’s on the opposing side of the oval office when Fitz’s pick for Supreme Court Justice is caught in a torrid affair with Liv’s new client, high-powered CEO Sarah Stanner (Lisa Edelstein). Meanwhile, Olivia and Jake continue their flirtatious relationship, while Huck takes Quinn under his wing and Harrison and Abby try to figure out where they stand with their friendship. Back in the White House, Cyrus and Mellie continue to fight for Fitz’s attention, but someone else may already have it.”
Out of the stories that we can tell you right now to watch out for, the developments between Huck and Quinn are going to be slow moving, but based on what we’re hearing, they are going to bring about an interesting change for her character over time. It will also be interesting to see where the Olivia and Jake storyline is going; there is an option for Scott Foley to become a series regular next year, but is her really going to end up being Olivia’s boyfriend? That is something we’re still skeptical about.

i love the love between Fitz and Olivia. there is no scandal without them. the fact that they have stolen moments makes it more interesting. Olivia is madly in love with Fitz . the mere mention of his name made her cancel her date with Jake. the moment she finds out who Jake really is the game is over for him. for me the love between (Olivia and Fitz ) should continue.

I too love Fitz and Olivia but they relationship is unhealthy. It isn’t fair that Olivia has no love life and is only Fitz’s part time lover. I love the chemistry between Liv and Jake and hope they can get together. Sure I want Liv and Fitz together BUT he is still sleeping with Mellie why can’t Liv sleep with Jake? Fitz takes Liv for gran-it. He doesn’t care what comes out of his mouth – his words cut like a razor blade! I say let Liv be happy for a change! I don’t feel that she owes him an apology. Did you all forget she only gave in to the rigging when Fitz cried in her arms stating that he wanted the Presidency and that he could do it after his father practically called him a loser. How quickly we forget!

I agree that I love Olitz, but lately, they have been spiraling downhill. I think she needs a normal, happy relationship with Jake, at least for now. That being said, I agree with the last commenter, they kind of doomed her and Jake’s relationship from the start, given his spying on her and whatnot. I think it’ll be interesting to see the drama that brings, but I feel sorry for Olivia and the hurt that’s going to bring her :( And it won’t make things easier on Olitz either… :/

My, My, My, what tangled webs we weave… Jake crossed over the line from surveilance to being Intrigue….The relationship is doomed from the start. Once Olivia finds out that he has been spying on her AND, that Fitz put him up to it?? FOR GET ABOUT IT!!!! Can’t wait to see that drama…..

Well I guess I’m a true Olitz fan to the end. I would like for them to work out their issues and move on. I’m aware that as long as he remains POTUS it will never happen. . But, I will agree that Olitz seem to be drifting apart. POTUS is so hurt I think he will kill what love they have and might been able to save. I don’t see the chemistry between OJ. Jake is too smooth for me so, the jury is still out on him. For me Scandal won’t be the same without Olitz (so sad).

I love the entire cast but especially Kerry Washington. She is drop dead gorgeous. I loved the Olitz relationship. With that said, when I heard they were adding a 9 epsiode arc for Scott Foley, I knew I had died and gone to heaven. I love, love Scott Foley. I love the way the Jake and Olivia relationship is moving along. He’s sexy and hot and they have great chemistry together. I would love to see him continue as her single available love interest. Right now, all I want to see is Olivia get the “full Jake experience” by the end of season 2. And yes, Shonda, please bring him back so the Jake and Olivia (JO) can continue to develop. I love those two together.

I want Huck and Quinn together. I think she is good for him. Huck needs someone to love and care about him. I want Abby with David Rosen. They love each other, and it’s sad that their careers got in the way. I love Olivia with Fritz, but like she said “stolen moments are not a life”. I feel she needs to spend so time with Jake because he is free to love her while Fritz isn’t.

Fitz and Olivia chemistry are off the radar and I love, love them together, but stolen moments are not a life. Olivia has become a prisoner of their relationship and forgot what it’s like to be loved without being ashamed and guilty. . I hope Jake becomes a regular and ultimately becomes Olivia new love interest.

I think “someone” that may have Fitz’s attention is the baby. I saw the picture of Fitz holding his young son. Cyrus and Mellie can continue to try and up one another. Lol.

I would hope that Huck and Quinn relationship become romantic, they have great chemistry, who would have thought. I am not to worried about Harrison and Abby friendship I’m sure they will work it out, Cryus and Mellie well this is Cryus and Mellie we are talking about. I really do love Fitz and Olivia together but their relationshp has become so unhealthy in the last two episodes, there is great chemistry with Olivia and Jake and I would hope that she will have a little normal.
