‘American Horror Story’ season 3 spoilers: Frances Conroy will return for more
The Angel of Death will be coming back to life on the next season of “American Horror Story.” Following the news that Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and even season 1 alum Taissa Farmiga would be returning to the FX series later this year for season 3, Ryan Murphy confirmed in a new post on Twitter Thursday that Frances Conroy would again be back for more action.
Of course, there is no word just yet as to who Conroy will play, though we know that Murphy likes to flip the characters’ roles around from one season to the next. While he has already established such key details as the setting and characters for many of the actors, he is still opting to keep most of it a secret for the time being. the next time we could feasibly receive some more information about this is at PaleyFest later in the spring, which is where he and several other actors from the series are set to appear.
With that in mind, let’s put on our speculative goggles here for a second: even though he is not listed as a cast member for season 3 just yet, James Cromwell is nonetheless going to be attending the panel? Is this an optimistic move about his own possible casting? We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves here, but the presence of Cromwell at press events for the show at least suggests that he is certainly enjoyed his appearance this seas as Dr. Arthur Arden.
As great as these announcements are, there are still a number of other actors whose fates are still up in the air. Neither Zachary Quinto or Dylan McDermott have signed on, and both Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan are going to be busy with some other projects to the point where they may not appear at all.
