‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Guess who is arriving to Storybrooke?
Are you anxious to know an unfamiliar face who is going to be turning up in Storybrooke on “Once Upon a Time” season 2? Luckily, we’re about to have this very answer for you courtesy of the official synopsis for the 11th episode of the season (which is appropriately titled “The Outsider”).
There is quite a bit of interesting content to talk about based on the description below, and we could go on a number of tangents. However, it is probably best to just let you read it before we start to go off about any one thing in particular:
“Mr. Gold finds an unwilling test subject to see if a spell he has concocted will allow him to cross the border of Storybrooke — without losing his memory — and go in search of his son, Bae; Belle stumbles upon a vengeful Hook in the Storybrooke harbor whose main goal is to eradicate Rumplestiltskin; and Mary Margaret and David go house hunting in search of a bigger place to live. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Belle meets Mulan as the two set out to slay a fearsome beast called the Yaoguai, who has been ravaging the land.”
Yes, this is the episode where we will find this “unwilling subject,” who is played by Ethan Embry. The actor’s role has long been kept a secret, which has led to plenty of speculation that he could actually be Rumple’s son in disguise. However, there is no proof of that. We are also rather interested to see that Mulan is continuing to not only play a role in this show despite her seemingly being left behind in the fairytale world, but that she has a history with a character who honestly needs more to do in the present. (Let’s hope this somehow is a sign that Mulan will be visiting Storybrooke, as well.)
What do you want to see transpire in this episode? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can also check out some scoop on the 12th episode of the season (which is largely about Dr. Whale) over at the link here.

Really. Captain Cook is a bully. Yeah, he’s got a pretty face but that ain’t gonna cut it for me. I think he has to die anyways because he will want to continue to ruin RumBelle’s relationship and as a RumBelle fan, that’s a big no-no.

They’d better keep Captain Hook. I read another article where somebody said he’ll die in episode 13. I hope it isn’t true.
