‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: A confrontation cometh

Who is the real villain of “The Vampire Diaries” season 4? Really, this all depends on how you choose to look at it. Considering that he has consistently been in “Big Bad” position ever since the very start of the show, you have to make Klaus in one sense a prime candidate for the title. However, he has also faced some pretty stiff competition this year from a man who has acted in mystery, and done some pretty shady things thus far regarding both vampires and witches: Professor Shane.

To make matters all the more interesting, these two “villains” have been at odds with each other for much of the season, and when Klaus learns that Shane was really responsible for the killing of twelve hybrids in some shape or form, he’s not going to be happy. According to a report from E! News, there is going to be some sort of epic standoff coming up between the two characters, and the end results could be disastrous for one of them.

At the moment, we certainly know already know that the Original hybrid is hardly in the best mood ever. After all, this is a guy who has already unleashed his rage in a number of different ways, with the most shocking one of all being his choice to kill Carol Lockwood during the season 3 finale. Without Tyler’s army or his mom, the man is going to be incredibly alone … and also incredibly out for revenge.
