Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 14 video: What does Althea want?

We know that “helping people” is at the forefront of this season and we’ve heard about in various forms over the years. Yet, there have to be certain rules that you need to be able to follow. That includes being careful about the rooms that you try to charge into. In the sneak peek below, you can see Althea expressing a little bit of interest in trying to execute a difficult rescue mission, one that Morgan has some objections to. Yet, as Althea does point out to him in return, she does have a little bit of an added motivation. There’s something else within there that she needs. What that is remains to be seen, but she insists that it’s not just about there being some sort of story for her videos. There is a larger endgame here.
With Althea in general, the second half of this season has her in a rather interesting place. Just think about it in this way: She is a woman who found some element of love earlier this season, only to watch it go away. She recognized that there is a different sort of hope that is possible within the zombie apocalypse and while she cannot recreate that same feeling with every single person she comes across, she is still doing virtually whatever she can in order to generate optimism. She wants to be more of a beacon, and she’s willing to take at least some risks in order to do so.
As for how far she’ll go … we hope to get some more answers on that when this episode airs come tomorrow night.
