So what’s the problem here? If you watched last season, then you already know — the fact of the matter is that Sherlock is banned from entering the couple. It’s a part of the price that he is paying over the death of Michael. It’s something he was willing to take the fall for, but obviously, at the time he didn’t realize that something was going to happen to Gregson that would require his help. Moving into episode 3 (airing on June 6), he’s still going to be in the process of figuring that out. Apparently, he’s also going to be willing to lean on some desperate measures in order to ensure that he gets what he wants/needs.
For some more news on what’s coming, check out the official Elementary season 7 episode 3 synopsis below:
“The Price of Admission” – Holmes takes extreme measures to secure his return to New York when he leans on his father’s disreputable connections to aid his legal re-entry into the United States. Also, while Holmes looks for a way back to the United States, Watson helps the NYPD investigate a murder at a storage facility that caters to wealthy clients with items they want hidden from U.S. Customs, on ELEMENTARY, Thursday, June 6 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
In a lot of ways, the title here speaks for itself — while Sherlock may be able to do something in order to get himself re-entry into America, there could be consequences of doing so — especially if it requires using some of Morland’s contacts. One of the things about Elementary is that actions do have consequences, and we don’t think it’s right for this universe if Sherlock can just waltz back into America without any problems. We want him to be there, but we want the events to set off a chain reaction. Basically, we want there to be conflict given that this show is almost always better off when there is conflict.
