Is The Orville new tonight on Fox? Looking at the season 2 future

Orville

Is The Orville new tonight on Fox, and what can we be excited for a little bit down the road? Within this article, we want to do our part to answer these two questions … and also talk further about just how great this show is! Seriously, if you aren’t watching The Orville then what are you doing with your life? This is storytelling at it’s best and even if you aren’t into space type programming you can still relate to these characters on so many different levels. We highly recommend you check it out if you have been on the fence about it.

Have you missed our most-recent episode reaction for The Orville in video form? – Then take a look at the bottom of this article for that video! Anyhow, if you are one of these people who haven’t had a chance to check out The Orville just yet, this is the best possible week to catch up on past episodes. After all, the show is not on this week, and we’re actually getting into one of the weirdest periods we’ve been in when it comes to this show. There’s no new episode tonight, then there’s a new installment on March 21, and then there is another hiatus. Seriously. Fox’s schedule clearly has some holes in it this spring since they could’ve easily condensed this season and put another show on it after the fact. For a show with a shortened episode order, The Orville is really fluttering in and out like nobody’s business.

We don’t want to make this article just about answering the question in the title. With that in mind, we’ve composed below a couple of different expectations for the crew as we make it into the next phase of this funny, imaginative season.

Short-term goals – Trying to figure out what is coming up next for Gordon! We love the guy, his big heart, and the fact that he wants love. He’s like the nerdy guy who never gets picked for kickball, or the dude who’s sent home on The Bachelorette before the first Rose Ceremony event wraps up.

On this upcoming episode, though, it seems like he’s met the perfect person, played by Gossip Girl alum Leighton Meester. There’s passion there! A lot of heart! A great rapport. Yet, there’s a pretty gigantic problem in that nobody has any idea who she is. She’s surfaced out of nowhere and judging from the promo over here, at least a few crew members are confused about her existence.

Long-term goals – Try to find a way to stop some of those blasted Kaylon! These AI are currently the Big Bads so much more than the Krill — think of them as the only thing in the universe that could ever cause these groups to team up. Isaac’s defected and is now fully Team Orville, but as awesome as some of the stuff he did this past week was, it’s also just scratching the surface of this robotic race and their plans of destruction. It’s a drop in the ocean and there’s still a tidal wave coming, whether it be this season or some point down the line.

This brings us back to what we said early

Start watching this show live. It’s the one way to make sure we have liftoff on a season 3 and it really deserves to come back for more.
