Legacies episode 8 photo: What should lie ahead for Hope Mikaelson?

What is the Malivore precisely, and how is Landon Kirby connected to everything? These are questions that have been raised, in one form or another, through the past several episodes. The producers have taken their time here, and smartly so since we get a feeling that they want to keep the tone of Legacies constant and not rush too much into any one particular story. It’s about the characters first and foremost; that’s what made every season of this franchise worthwhile.
Yet, we are going to see things start to push forward now, as the end of the fall finale signified that Landon is going to be in a certain degree of danger after taking off from Mystic Falls. Hope is going to do what she can in order to find him, and the photo below (via TVLine) seems to suggest that she is going to run into some trouble along the way. She’s going to run into some obstacles, and at the same time, who knows what she’s actually going to find? The mystery of Landon’s identity and the larger threat are still so ambiguous that you can’t quite pin down what’s going to be on the other side of any story at the moment.
Yet, we do hope that we get some more information on Landon’s mother, given that the photograph in the fall finale seemed to have a particular significance to it. Also, we do hope that some of Hope’s friends end up becoming increasingly involved in what’s happening with her. Because so many of the characters on Legacies are so young, there is a certain tendency for everyone to get so wrapped up in some of their own drama and what’s happening around them. It’s often rather difficult to see beyond that but as the show pushes forward, it’s going to be important that they do. In the end, that’s going to be one of the only ways everyone gets some sort of actual opportunity to survive.
