The Resident season 2 episode 7 video: A drug trial goes awry

At the end of this past episode, we saw Nic’s sister Jessie take on some more responsibility at Mina’s Halloween party — and apparently she is leveraging that to something larger: She’s trying to help run a drug trial! These are the sort of experimental things in which you see humans hire themselves out as guinea pigs for. They get a fee, but with that they have to take some risks with their bodies.
There are risks, though, and then there are risks. The latter seems to be at the center of the sneak peek below, as Conrad and Nic find themselves walking in on a man at the trial whose life is in severe jeopardy. He clearly did not handle being there particularly well and with that in mind, he’s going to need to be sent over to the emergency room.
While we certainly don’t want to see anything to happen to the guy, there’s a larger danger here: what happens to Jessie here? If she’s a part of the trial, there’s a good chance that something terrible could also happen to her. If Nic already was struggling with some panic attacks, this could send her over the top. Fingers crossed that nothing is wrong — and that Conrad offers up all of the support that a good boyfriend should! This is going to be a tough situation.
