Save Shadowhunters comes to San Diego Comic-Con via pedicabs

Shadowhunters season 2 finale review

While there may not be a formal Shadowhunters panel at Comic-Con this year, the folks behind the effort to save the show have still found a way to have their voice heard. Specifically, they are doing it in the form of pedicabs with the #SaveShadowhunters message front and center.

If you’ve never been to Comic-Con before, these bikes are a pretty essential form of transportation. At times, it can be rather difficult to get from where you park / stay to the San Diego Convention Center. Beyond just that, you may just be exhausted after a long day of seeing panels or walking the show floor (which is one of our personal favorite things to do). These are easy, environmentally-friendly ways to get around the convention — and they’re also sponsored, much like many other things are with the convention. There are TV advertisements almost everywhere you turn over the next few days and it’s nice to see that Shadowhunters will have some sort of representation.

You can really add these bikes to the already-impressive list of various actions the fandom has taken since Freeform canceled the series. They have already hired a banner to fly over Netflix, and following that also purchased a billboard at Times Square. They also have placed ads within Seoul subway stations and there may be many more moves coming up in the future.

We do think that out of all of the fun ideas we’ve seen with Shadowhunters, this is one of the most valuable given that there are hundreds of thousands of TV fans crammed into a small space the next few days; meanwhile, you’ve also got a number of network executives and other important industry people around. You never know when someone is going to stumble across something you’ve created! It’s another reason to have hope if you are a diehard Shadowhunters fan.

If you missed it, check out why there is no panel for Shadowhunters this year over at the link here. We’ll have more news on the #SaveShadowhunters campaign the moment that there is more to share!
