Summer TV Preview: Why Shades of Blue season 3 is worth checking out

Shades of Blue

Shades of Blue season 3 will be coming to NBC on Sunday, June 17, and judging from some of the early information that is out there about it, signs do point to one of the most intense seasons yet. It almost has to be, given that this is the final one for the Jennifer Lopez series on NBC.

So what’s going to happen when the show returns? For Harlee Santos, this is going to be one of the biggest tests of her life and career. She is still in recovery from a dangerous, near-death situation that happened at the end of season 2; following a situation like this, obviously you would hope to have a little bit of time in order to catch your breath and recharge the batteries a little bit. Unfortunately, that is not happening in her situation. She is, instead, forced alongside Wozniak to take on another dangerous case. This is the nature of the beast, and in turn why it takes a very particular sort of person to be able to take this sort of job on. Not everyone out there can really handle it.

This is an action-packed show and we certainly don’t expect that to change in the finals season. Beyond that, we also absolutely anticipate that the show is going to continue to reflect many of the themes that it did from the first two seasons, especially when it comes to the gray areas that come with being a police officer. at times, there is a difference between doing what is right and what is just.
