Shades of Blue season 3 episode 1 spoilers: Harlee’s recovery

Want to know what is coming up on Shades of Blue season 3 episode 1? Let’s kick things off here by saying that there is really one word to describe it: Recovery. This is going to be an episode all about seeing just how Harlee and Wozniak each deal with some of what they went through at the end of this past season — after all, remember that both of them ended that batch of episodes with their lives in jeopardy! Over the course of this premiere our hope is that we can see each one of them to their best to move forward and also figure out precisely what the future is going to hold for them.

Below, the Shades of Blue season 3 episode 1 synopsis offers up a little bit more in the way of information as to what is coming up when the series returns June 17:

Harlee and Wozniak, still dealing with the fallout from their near death experiences, discover a grisly crime scene riddled with mystery.

In looking at that, the easy thing to surmise from it is quite simple: This is going to be a premiere that quickly reminds two characters that there really is no time for relief or an escape from some of the outside world. They are going to be thrown right back into the fire after everything that they have just been through, and we imagine that there are some legitimate questions worth asking about precisely how harmful that is going to end up being for all of them. (If we had to guess, we would say pretty harmful, all things considered. They’re not going to have a whole lot of time to emotionally recover from any of their trauma.)

Given that this is the final season of Shades of Blue, it does make sense that the story just keep chugging along. There isn’t going to be a whole lot of time, after all, to slow things down in this period of time.
