Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 12 spoilers: April takes charge and more
The title for this episode is “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” which is a clear reference to a song from Daft Punk — one that eventually was sampled in Kanye West’s hit “Stronger” down the road. You can credit this song for some of the popularization of Daft Punk, but the point of this article isn’t so much to go on some sort of lengthy tear regarding music history. It’s instead to talk about an episode of Grey’s Anatomy that is about growth. April is leading the charge for the innovation contest that’s been hyped up on this season for some time, and this is a chance for many of the doctors to test varying degrees of their creativity. This should prove to be rather fun episode just because we don’t often get to see the doctors work within some sort of degree of creative space.

April is in charge of the new Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Contest, and the doctors are eager to start their projects. Meanwhile, Catherine’s old friend has a shocking idea for Catherine and Jackson; and Meredith treats a returning patient who inspires her project.

It goes without saying that Debbie Allen is appearing in this episode as Catherine Avery, and the only major question that remains here is with Meredith. Is this going to be a returning patient that we will remember? Given that she’s seen so many over the years there really are just a small handful, at least in our mind, that stand out when such a thing is mentioned.
