Fear the Walking Dead season 4 video: See Lennie James on set
The video below (via AMC) gives you a first taste of what it’s like for James working alongside some other members of the cast — this is a nice little look behind the scenes at the show, and that’s fun since production’s going to probably be under wraps once they get a little bit deeper into production.
One thing that is somewhat-interesting is the show’s official UK Twitter account going ahead and resolving at least one part of the major cliffhanger at the end of the season — it appears as though Nick, Alicia, and Victor Strand are all going to make it through to season 4 in one piece. This first table-read photo features James alongside Colman Domingo, Frank Dillane, and Alicia Debnam-Carey. We didn’t exactly think that the series would write out any of these characters with the showrunner swap coming, especially since you need some familiar faces to help anchor the story. Also, Fear the Walking Dead has bore witness to many a major cast departures already. Just remember for a moment that the show’s already lost Cliff Curtis, Mercedes Mason, Sam Underwood, and Daniel Sharman fairly recently. There are a handful of original cast members left, with Dillane, Debnam-Carey, and (hopefully) Kim Dickens remaining as some of the most influential people from the show’s pilot.
Fear the Walking Dead season 4 is going to be premiering on AMC at some point in the midway point of 2018. The precise start date will likely be announced at some point near the end of The Walking Dead season 8 — as for when that show wraps up, we’ll have to wait for the announcement. Due to the Winter Olympics it’s possible that The Walking Dead utilizes a slightly different airing schedule than we’re used to (even The Walking Dead probably doesn’t want to air against it). It shouldn’t impact anything with the spin-off other than maybe the timing in which the new season’s premiere date is announced.
