The Flash season 4 video: Caitlin Snow, Killer Frost will both have roles

The Flash season 4The Flash season 4 is coming to The CW later this fall, and judging from what we’ve just learned, there’s a lot ahead for Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost!

In the video below, you can see executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Todd Helbing speak for a moment about some of the big events that are coming. When it comes to Danielle Panabaker’s character, she made her thoughts her: You could see both Killer Frost and Caitlin Snow this season. Therefore, if you love either iteration, odds are that you’ll be happy.

In the end, one of the questions that this raises is what exactly this means. Let’s put it this way: If you are a fan of the team at STAR Labs, why in the world would you want to keep working with someone who could turn evil at any second? We have a hard time imagining that both this Caitlin and Killer Frost are the same person, which is one of the reasons why we think that the Caitlin you see in the new season 4 trailer could be one from another Earth. Or, maybe by some crazy mechanism the two versions of Caitlin are split up and they each have a chance to run free with their own consciousness and ability to cause a little bit of chaos.

We are a fan of both iterations of this character, so with that in mind, there’s a good bit to be happy about here.

Some other Flash season 4 scoop

This time around, we’re talking about The Thinker. In this aforementioned video, the two producers also discuss how there’s something exciting that will come out of getting to see the fastest man alive battling the world’s strongest mind, and someone who challenges Barry on a different level. It’s going to take him plus a number of other different characters to get on his level and figure it out. Also, we feel like it’s going to take some smart writing for the show to sell a concept of a villain who Barry and company cannot beat using any ordinary means. They’ll probably have to get creative to beat him, and won’t just be able to run over there and take him down when he’s asleep.

The Thinker is going to have some help on his own via another new character in The Mechanic — the one question that remains after that is simply whether or not we’re going to have a chance to see some other villains team up with him, as well. We’d be very much down for a team-up of Rogues if that is something that the writers would set up.
