Alec Baldwin brings ‘Saturday Night Live’ – Donald Trump impression to protest rally

Trump -Recently, Alec Baldwin made it clear that he had some plans to bring his signature Donald Trump – “Saturday Night Live” impression to some other venues, and earlier tonight, we got a small taste of that courtesy of the actor’s appearance at a rally against Donald Trump in New York City. This event was put on in part by Baldwin, Michael Moore, and others, and the actor spent his time on stage pushing a message of continuing to stay strong, diligent, and challenge the new power at the center of the country.

Also, we got a small taste of his Trump in the process as he made a brief joke about The Donald going to the Russian embassy and having a very long pee. To be honest, this works a heck of a lot better when he is in costume and in front of a crowd ready to laugh. This didn’t work anywhere near as well.

For those wondering, this is far from the last time you are going to see Baldwin’s Trump over the course of the next several days, as he is also planning to be on this upcoming episode of the sketch series, likely to skewer something that happens over the course of the next couple of days. Tomorrow’s inauguration event is almost sure to be a polarizing affair.

In the end, the one takeaway that we get from this video is that regardless of weather or not he is wearing the makeup and doing the trademark pout, Baldwin is going to continue be active in the way that he best knows how in the weeks and months to come — it’s still hard to know one way or another whether he will be playing this role for many years to come, but for the time being, we’re just going to live in the moment.

This weekend, there will be a new episode of “SNL” hosted by Aziz Ansari. If you want to see a promo for it, head over to the link here!
