‘Elementary’ season 4 spoilers: New trailer gives you John Noble, Sherlock with a boombox
We are spending a whole lot of our time these days discussing the fall TV season, and yet the reality here is still that you are not going to see “Elementary” come on the air for season 4 until we get to Thursday, November 5 on CBS. Thanks Thursday Night Football for that.
While you wait, what better thing to do than watch the new, extended trailer for the new season? Hopefully in here there are a variety of little moments that you are going to smile about, with to us one of the most interesting things being the arrival of John Noble as Sherlock’s father.
This role is ultimately going to be a chance for great rebirth for Noble; everyone loved him on “Fringe,” and while nothing on “Sleepy Hollow” was his fault, the season was not very well-received when it ended earlier this year. This show is a little lighter in tone, but at the same exact time it does allow him to continue to flex some of the muscles that he has in the past. Papa Holmes does have a history of letting his son down emotionally, even if he has also been there at times to bail him out of situations. Suffice it to say, this is a rocky dynamic.
Also, the trailer (via Entertainment Weekly) gives you a “Say Anything” moment courtesy of Sherlock, Watson telling him just how important the partnership is to her, and also some more typical crime-solving.
