‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Hannibal,’ ‘True Blood’s’ Rutina Wesley snags mystery role

Arrow -Rutina Wesley is getting the chance to play a very intriguing role on “Hannibal” this summer as Reba McClain; now, she’s getting a chance to take on a very different sort of part.

According to a report from TheWrap, Wesley (who is still best known for her part on “True Blood” as Tara) has secured a multiple-episode arc on “Arrow” season 4 in a role that is for the most part still kept under heavy lock and key. We don’t feel like there is any reason to hold back on who we would love to see her play: Queen Bee, a noted DC Comics villain who has ties to the HIVE organization (fittingly). Given that we have Damien Darhk already as the season’s big bad, it does make some sense now to try to introduce this character, as well. Tara had a mean streak at times, so we certainly know that Wesley can play evil.

Just earlier today, we were very high on “Arrow” and its casting department for some of its notable castings this summer. Just look at the roster they’ve assembled: Neal McDonough as Darhk, Echo Kellum as Mr. Terrific, Parker Young as Alex (just reported earlier today), and Jeri Ryan as Jessica Danforth. This is probably as good of a crew of guest stars as there can be for a CW show, given that we’re familiar with every one of these actors, and we know them to be great.

Given that we are still almost two months away from the “Arrow” premiere, we imagine that there will be even more news announced on the show in the near future. Stay tuned for some of that!
