‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 11 video: Watch some fun Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray banter
While you may be waiting until Tuesday, January 6 in order to watch the next new episode of “NCIS,” the fine folks over at CBS were kind enough to give us some sort of Christmas gift today: A sneak peek for this installment!
The episode here is titled “Check,” but based on this sneak peek, the title could very well be “embarrassing people with their New Year’s resolutions.” Specifically, we are talking here about McGee. Sean Murray’s character apparently made quite an effort in order to change things about himself this year, including his bad habit of mixing colors and whites, and also how much time he wastes frequently watching none other that cat videos, otherwise known as one of the most embarrassing things you can do with the internet.
Who is in the process of getting a laugh? Think along the lines of Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham). As fun as this is, though, the comedy seems to be ending to a certain degree when the two parties realize via Jimmy that Gibbs has been forced to not drink caffeine for 72 hours as he prepares for a medical checkup. Who wants to deal with him in this particular state? Our answer here is rather simple: Not many.
Hopefully, this episode continues to give us a great sense of fun and excitement, especially when you consider that there was such a serious episode on last in “House Rules.” The main event in the installment seems to be the arrival of none other than Jeri Ryan as Gibbs’ second ex-wife.

I used to find some of Dinozzo’s teasing of McGee funny but now it just feels like co-worker harassment almost to the point of bullying. Dinozzo was a lot more sensitive last season after coming back from Israel and leaving Ziva behind. They seemed to have dropped that this season. I thought that was a step in the right direction of Tony maturing. I sure miss the Ziva interaction with the guys. It was genuine humour and good natured banter and teasing. NCIS LA does this very well and it is still coming along in NCIA NO but the mothership seems to have lost this.

And the writers continue to attempt to push poor little McGee to the front while making Tony look bad. They sure seem overly interested in convincing the audience to love and pity poor little Tim/hate nasty nosey Tony don’t they?

Some things never change. Once again DiNosey is snooping in McGee’s desk.
