‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 11 preview: Jeri Ryan arrives as Gibbs’ second ex

You heard about “NCIS” bringing on board Gibbs’ second ex-wife for a good six months now. It was one of the things that executive producer Gary Glasberg talked about extensively from the moment season 11 ended, and since that time, we’ve just been waiting for it to come on the air.

With that being said, we are pretty excited about it finally coming up, especially now that former “Star Trek” actress Jeri Ryan has been cast in the role. This episode is entitled simply “Check,” and in the synopsis below, you can get a few details about just what you can expect:

“The NCIS team must investigate a series of crime scenes that appear to be copy-cats of previous cases. Also, two of Gibbs’ ex-wives, one of which the team has yet to meet, show up at a crime scene to discuss something important with him, on NCIS, Tuesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Jeri Ryan guest stars as Gibbs’ second ex-wife.”

Basically, the only thing that we know about this character for the time being is that she is a redhead, and that is not exactly a whole lot of information to go on. The mystery here is a part of what makes this story fun; also, we really hope that this is an opportunity to see Mark Harmon’s character to have a little bit of fun. That’s not exactly something that we see from him very often, especially during tonight’s “House Rules” episode.
