‘Falling Skies’ season 4 videos: A new focus on the characters

In just over a week’s time, “Falling Skies” is going to be back with some new episodes on TNT. Until then, though, why not check out some of the cool coverage that the network is offering up?

What we really appreciate about the new series of videos that are being put out into the world right now is that they give you more insight into the characters straight from their perspective. These are not just the actors talking about what they imagine to be coming up for their characters. Instead, you have people like Lourdes and Anthony each sitting down to discuss the state of things, Lexi, their job with the 2nd Mass, and so much more. It is a nice little extension to a world that you have already come to know over time thanks to the series itself.

The challenge with this show at the start of a new season is always massive. You are having to set up what you believe will be the premise and the stakes for the story ahead, but at the same time push it forward quickly so that you do not spend a whole lot of time focusing on any one thing. The show moves at a pretty brisk pace, and it has to thanks to a relatively short episode count. This series falls somewhat into “Game of Thrones” territory in that there is so much work that goes into post-production and getting the effects right that they really cannot film that many episodes over the course of the year.
