ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 16 preview: Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, and a ‘Disgrace’
One of the aspects of “Revenge” that is at times both great and frustrating is how almost everything that happens is like Teflon. No matter what the Grayson family does, for example, they manage to find a way to cover it up and still move forward with their lives. In many ways, this is frustrating to see and it makes past episodes feel like they matter less than they really should.
Is that going to change soon? We certainly hope so, given that next week’s “Disgrace” seems to be putting us on the right road to taking on stories that do matter. For the first time for really most of the season, Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe are going to get an opportunity to play their characters in the midst of a public conflict, and not just something that barely bubbles over the surface. There are intentions this time around to deliberately humiliate and destroy, and for Emily, this means some very bad news, indeed.
Unfortunately for those of you who love particularly revealing synopses, the one below is almost sure to disappoint:
“As the notorious Pascal LeMarchal’s unexpected visit reverberates throughout the Hamptons, Emily and Victoria go head to head in a very public showdown.”
That public showdown seemingly involves a night at the theater, which helps to further beg the question as to how Emily has time to go out and buy such a ridiculously high-fashion dress with all the time that she spends trying to ruin lives. Regardless, this still looks like a heck of a fun hour, and we cannot wait to see where this twisty story goes from here.
