‘How I Met Your Mother’ series finale script: Has it been written?
Start getting your tissues ready now, “How I Met Your Mother” fans: There are going to be some pretty emotional moments ahead for you over the next month and a half. While the show may be in repeats until February 24, from that point on you will be getting episodes weekly until you get to the main event: The series finale, which is an hour long and will air on March 31.
This finale will close the door on the series, and hopefully do almost everything in its power to answer so many of the questions that you have right now about the series, loose ends, and why in the world Ted has sat down his children so that they can hear what is one of the longest stories in existence.
The news that we have for you today on this subject is this: The script for this episode has been officially written. Co-creator Carter Bays has confirmed it as such in a new post on Twitter, where he summed up his thoughts after reading the work of fellow creator Craig Thomas:
“Just read a beautiful script by my favorite writer. His name is @HimymCraig and it’s the #HIMYM finale and I can’t deal with this right now.”
If there are potential tears already, just imagine what this is going to be like for the cast and crew once they actually get to the set to shoot this one. This has been a job and a big part of the lives of everyone involved on the show for almost a decade, and when they look back at their lives down the road, this will make up such a big percentage of it in between the time that the pilot was first announced to when the show actually went off of the air.
Obviously, we are going to have more news on the finale as it becomes available, but for now, we recommend heading over to the link here if you want to get a few assorted teasers.
