On Tuesday, January 7, “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be back on ABC Family with a new episode entitled “Who’s in the Box.” But, in the event that you really don’t want to wait that long to see some footage of it, we have one of the first clips for you below!
In this video (first posted by E! News), Ashley Benson’s character of Hanna chats with Spencer and Emily in order to try to help answer the question that serves as the title of this episode. And what she has managed to learn is really rather interesting: There was a woman that seemingly looked at least somewhat similar to Alison DiLaurentis at the time of her supposed “death,” and therefore, she could be the woman that is buried in the ground. There’s not enough evidence yet to really prove anything, but at least this is some sort of lead that the characters can explore. Compared to what they’ve been able to do so far, that is at least something.
There is also what we feel like is a pretty significant clue in here to the identity of “A,” or at least it would have been if we did not know it was Ezra already. Basically, we end up seeing a message for the Liars imposed in a black-and-white movie, which we know already that Ezra is a rather big fan of. If he wants to keep his identity a secret, why in the world would he do something like this? Aria and him have made watching old movies into “their thing,” and he has to believe that the content of this would get back to her. It’s certainly one of the bolder moves that he’s made, unless someone else working with team “A” is suddenly trying to pin everything on him.
What do you think about Hanna’s theory, and who do you think is really buried in the “box”? Share below! Also, take a look here to see some scoop from Troian Bellisario about an interesting new story for Spencer that is coming up this coming season.
