‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 11 video: Rhymes, and Cobie Smulders eating a cake

How I Met Your Mother -There is no episode of “How I Met Your Mother” taking a bigger risk than “Bedtime Stories,” mostly because Monday night could either be the most legendary episode in the already-amazing series, or one that we hope gets buried somewhere deep in a hole to never be heard from again. This is what happens when you make bold moves, and telling an entire episode in rhyme is one of the boldest ones that you can make.

But even if you take away the rhymes themselves, some of the other teasers that are present in the video below still make this an episode worth looking out for. For example, were you aware previously that we were going to be seeing Cobie Smulders’ Robin stuffing her face with cake? There is of course something hilarious that comes out of this moment, just as there is the sight once again of MacLaren’s. The famed pub is back! We’ve seen it already this season, but there is little questioning that it has become more of a background character thanks to the Farhampton Inn taking over for the vast majority of the screen time.

The biggest movement in the overall story will potentially be the arrival of Marshall and baby Marvin finally to New York after their cross-country journey, which should be made slightly easier for him now that Sherri Shepherd’s own part in the tale seems to over thanks to her meeting her daughter. He will get a chance to be around the group again, and also try to figure out whether or not Lily is going to inflict great bodily harm upon him over his decision to not travel with her to Italy for a year to work with the Captain, and is instead going to take on a position as a judge after a spot became open.
